The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to help students know God more deeply, grow in Christlike character, and discover their role in God’s mission to the world. Through 5 months of in-depth biblical teaching, mentorship, hands-on ministry experience, worship, prayer, evangelism, authentic community, and hands on ministry, students are equipped to live as lifelong disciples of Jesus wherever He leads them. The Lecture Phase runs October 2, 2026 through December 17, 2026, followed by an International Outreach from January 5 through March 5, 2027, where students apply what they have learned while serving alongside local churches and missionaries. The cost is $750 for the Lecture Phase and $3,800-4,200 (depending on airfare at time of purchase) for the International Outreach. Financial coaching and fundraising resources are available to help students prepare for the outreach experience.

Whether serving in local neighborhoods or among the unreached nations of the world, our desire is to develop leaders who carry the presence of God, proclaim the gospel with boldness, and demonstrate the love of Christ through lives of faithful service.

At YWAM Columbus, we believe ministry flows from intimacy with God before activity for God. Prayer is not an event we attend but the foundation from which everything else grows. Rather than simply preparing people for short term mission trips, we cultivate lifelong missionaries whose character is shaped through worship, community, discipleship, and obedience to Jesus.
