Our Story

There is a sound arising out of this generation, a sound of consecration, compassion, and commission. It’s not coming from platforms or stages, but from prayer rooms, city streets, and surrendered hearts. We believe that now, in this critical hour of history, God is raising up voices from every tribe, tongue, and background to go into all the world and make disciples. In Columbus, Ohio -  a city pulsing with diversity, creativity, and strategic influence, we’ve seen firsthand what God can do when the Church rises to meet the urgency of the hour.

Hope City Global is based on the New Testament church model in Antioch (Acts 11–13), where a local congregation functioned as a center of worship, teaching, prophetic ministry, leadership formation, and missionary sending. In this paradigm, the Church is not merely a place of gathering, but a community that forms and releases leaders for the advancement of the Kingdom. Christ alone is the Head of the Church, and all ministry is exercised under His lordship (Colossians 1:18).

YWAM Columbus serves this model by intentionally forming leaders and sending out missionaries through our Discipleship Training School. The School exists to participate in Christ’s ongoing work of forming His people, not to create an independent institutional identity detached from the life of the Church. As such, the School operates with a discipleship-oriented framework that emphasizes transformation, submission to spiritual authority, and alignment with biblical truth (Ephesians 4:11–13; 2 Timothy 2:2).
